Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel. According to the newspaper, 24 of Browards 31 cities have laws banning sex offenders from living near schools, parks and other places where children gather.
At the end of June, Marquez went before a judge who sentenced him to serve six months in the Broward County Jail in lieu of the two years of house arrest. When he gets out, he will still be under supervision for 20 years and will carry the sex offender label for life. Which means he will still have problems finding a place to live.

That was a very difficult time in my life. But that was also when I met Nick, and fell in love for the first time. I wouldn't change that for the world.

After all is said and done, how do you now feel about doing the nasties on your dad and was it worth it. What are your feeling towards your father now.
My father is dead. I say, let him rest in peace.

A decade ago - did you think you would be at this point in your life - or further along.
Giving up my political career was a disappointment, but I don't regret it. I never thought I'd find one person to share my life with, much less two. Any sacrifices I've made for Nick's, Allison's and my collective happiness were more than worth it.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I have a tendency to become focused on my work to the exclusion of everything else - classic Type A behaviour. I've managed to get it under control in recent years, but it's still hard-wired into my DNA.

What are your true feelings for Nick and Allison.
They're my life. I couldn't exist without them.

You kept two peoples life rotating around you for more than a decade - was it worth it.
For myself, absolutely. For Nick and Allison... you'd have to ask them.

Besides, isn't it a husband's prerogative to shower his wife with gifts? were you trying to mould Allison into what you wanted her to to be?
I've always wanted Allison to live up to her true potential. She's an extraordinary woman. She'd have to be, to put up with me for so many years! I'll admit that at the beginning of our marriage, I tried too hard to remake her in the image I had of her in my head. But I stopped doing that long ago, because I realized it wasn't necessary. She's perfect the way she is.

When you popped up into Cat's imagination, did you think you would have made it onto paper?

This process encourages roots to grow from a small area of a stem. This results in a new plant with the rooting of the stem below the upper leaves that now exist on the plant. The reason this method works well is the new plant has attached to the existing plant during the air layering process which provides both nutrients and water to the new developing plant.
There are numerous  houseplants that either are difficult to root or have become leggy and very tall over time. This is especially associated with such houseplants as rubber plants,crotons,corn plant,and fiddle-leaf fig to mention a few.These plants and other plants which normally exist in the house and grow as a result of a central stem can over a period of time loose all of their lower leaves. This gives the appearance that the plant is about to wither and expire. However you need not worry because the plant can be restored by a method referred to as air-layering.
The tools and materials require to perform the air-layering include a sharp knife,a wooden toothpick,a small bag of spaghnum peat moss,and either some plastic wrap or aluminum foil. Although considered optional I would have available a rooting hormone to encourage the root growth. You can purchase such a root nutrient at any local garden shop.
There are two very interesting things you can do using air-layering the first being the growth of a new plant by choosing a spot three to four inches below the lower leaves to insert a wound in the main stem. Perhaps you just have the need to lower the height of the plant. Just determine what height you feel the plant should be and at that particular spot on the stem remove all leaves a few inches above and below the area you have chosen.
There are two methods of making an incision in the stem of the plant. The first method is recommended as the easiest way to perform the stem cutting. It requires a slanting upper cut into the stem with penetration no deeper than one-fourth or one-third of the diameter of the stem. The caution here is not to cut through the entire stem and you must hold on to the plant above the cut to prevent it from tipping over and breaking off at the cut. The second method is more tedious and stressful and involves cutting of a strip of bark no wider than one-half to one inch.
This is where the sharp knife is needed as you make your first cut through the bark and in a circle around the entire stem. Then you make a second cut using the distance mentioned above all the way around the stem. Apply just enough pressure to penetrate the bark without cutting all the way through the stem. Then peel back the strips by using the point of the knife. There are two cautions here one being a crooked cut around the stem leaving a wider cut then desired and the unfortunate lack of total penetration which can result in a continuous strip of bark peeling off the stem.
The wooden tookpick is used in the first method above to keep the the stem open a crack which is necessary to stop the wound from healing over without the formation of roots. Now is the time to apply the rooting hormone by pushing it into the wound made by your knife. As mentioned before the rooting hormone is optional but really promotes more rapid development of your root structure. Now soak a few handfuls of spaghnum moss with water squeezing just a little to remove excess water and press the moss into a very tight ball wrapping it around the cut area on the stem. Apply a sheet of clear plastic,better than the aluminum foil,tightly around the spaghnum moss. Check your wrapping method to ensure that no spaghnum is sticking out the ends of your plastic wrap. Your piece of plastic wrap should have been cut to provide the ability of wrapping around the ball at least twice. Now you can secure the wrap with a twist tie and you have completed the air-layering.
The second procedure is very similar to the first and will produce the same results. I must mention the use of aluminum foil as it pertains to sunlight. If your plant is situated in full sunlight it maybe necessary to use the foil for sunlight diffusion and prevent the moss from overheating. It will require several months in either method to produce sufficient new roots. All you need to do at that point is cut the stem just below the new root growth and plant it in a new container. In the case of lowering the height of the plant just remove the plastic and the moss and you have a new plant with a lower height. There it is an entire lesson in air-layering.

Monday was the worst day in my dog life. Worse than the day my mom thought she had a dog walker and didn't and I didn't pee all day in the house. Hi everyone!
Happy Monday . it is time for another challenge with my CCEE Stamper friends. This week we have another CNFS (Catchy Name Featured Stamper) challenge. This is when we pick someone over on SCS who has a catchy user name and create our cards around that name.
This month Dawn our challenge hostess selected the name . her instructions to us were that we had to create a card that have footprints on it . doesnt matter what kind as long as they were footprints!
When I read this challenge I had two stamps in mind I ended up going with this wizard and footprint inkpad to create my card. I really dug into the archives of my stamp collection to create my card today hehe! I stamped the wizard and ink pad onto my card and then masked them so I could create my floor and wall. The wall was stamped first and then I used my copic airbrush system to apply my color over the bricks.

The unseen flow of investments that had started literally pour into the citys infrastructure was expected to end up with poverty and unemployment and resolve the citys major crime problems. Even if no expert or analyst expected any immediate results and hoped only for long-term improvements, the hope still persisted.
Three years have passed since then. So, what do we see now?
By the end of the year 2008 Camden did report some noticeable decline in violent crimes, such as aggravated assaults, assaults with firearms, and thefts. From the other hand 48 homicides were reported, exceeding 42 in 2007. The first six months of the current year produced so mane fatalities and serious bodily injuries that Camden risked to break its own 12 years old record of 58 homicides reported in 1995.
Even if some improvement did take place, the progress was not even nearly close to what was expected in the year 2005. Sad thing to say, but Camden keeps holding firmly its reputation of the city drowning in street violence. In an attempt to keep control over the situation the Police try to make more arrests for minor offenses such as public drinking, playing loud music, loitering that all belong to the so-called quality-of-life offenses. These arrests are intended to prevent criminal offences of more serious nature and to serve as a sort of warning for potential felons. But do they?
This current tactics pursued by the police of Camden during the last 2 months starting the end of October 2008 seem to spread public skepticism as for its effectiveness. Citizens wonder if police expect to prevent street shootings, acts of homicide or drug-trafficking by arresting people for loitering. The fines imposed on the arrested for loitering are what many of them cant afford to pay, while getting record of having been arrested or issued warrants start showing up in pre-employment criminal background check reports, making it harder for subjects to find jobs, if not reducing the very possibility of getting employed to the next minimum.
